      Job Description

      At Afrimash, we know that the key to growth is in a high-performing sales team. We are looking for a competitive Field Sales Representative (Agent Network Manager) who has vast experience in generating sales through field agents with a record of meeting or surpassing sales targets. He or she should be willing to work in a high-pressure environment that is result-driven. 

      The successful candidate would play a key role in increasing the company’s revenue by managing the field agents to meet the monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

      Objectives of this Role:

      • Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics
      • Develop and implement territory action plan through comprehensive data analysis, and adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field
      • Identify, recruit, onboard, and manage Lead Agents (LAs) and Business Development Agents (BDAs) in a particular region, usually 2 to 5 states.
      • Create and manage 500 to 2500 active agents. This involves monitoring and supervising the activities of Business Development Agents (BDAs), Lead Agents (LAs), and their customers.

      Key Tasks:

      • Agent recruitment and station setup
        • Leads in the development of situation-specific recruitment strategy, tactics, material, and iterating as needed.
        • Support agents in various towns in building and sustaining the agent pipeline and on-field engagement with existing agents.
      • Agent Training and onboarding 
        • Lead in the development of situation-specific training and onboarding strategies and iterating as needed.
        • Support Project Manager in training and onboarding new agents as well as retraining existing agents.
      • Agent Quality
        • Lead in the development of situation-specific compliance systems and processes.
        • Support the Project Manager in ensuring adherence to our quality standard 
      • Agent Engagement 
        • Lead in the development of agent engagement strategy including program activities.
        • Proactively developing agent engagement strategies with the Project Manager to improve agent performance

      Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

      • Monitor the activities of LAs and BDAs and resolve all their complaints within 12 hours
      • Develop a process to align the Afrimash monthly webinars to meet the needs of the farmers                        
      • Organized monthly virtual training and quarterly physical training for BDAs
      • Report to sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results

      Entry Requirements

      • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, management studies, or in a related discipline.
      • Prior experience (up to 5 years) in the field of sales, customer service or marketing is also necessary for this position
      • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications – Ms-Excel, Ms-Word, Ms-Power Point.
      • Able to think fast, find answers, and respond quickly to customer and client issues, all with a polite, empathic, and professional voice and manner.
      • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously.
      • Able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions

      Proficient requirements

      • Detailed knowledge of the agricultural value chain and actors. 
      • Proficient use of the Internet, computer applications, web applications, and mobile applications.
      • Good understanding of his or her region/territory, its culture/language and agricultural peculiarities.

This position also sees the candidate connect executives with employees, build an employer brand, improve employee engagement, and build strategic talent resources plans.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related equivalent.
    • Graduate with at least 2- 3 years experience in Human Resources.

     

    • Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations.
    • Knowledge of relevant health, safety laws and HR best practices.
    • Proficient use of HR tools, Microsoft applications.
    • Preferably a resident of Ibadan.
