• Its active ingredient is Aluminium Phosphide and it constitutes 56% of Spatoxin.
• It reacts with normal atmospheric moisture to liberate phosphine (hydrogen phosphide) gas.
• It is created by the fusion of aluminium and red or yellow phosphorus.
• The remaining 43-44% of Spatoxin is comprised of inert components, mainly ammonium carbamate that facilitate controlled outgassing of phosphine.
