HS 45 Hedge Trimmer

HS 45 is a light introductory model (0.75kW) hedge trimmer for garden trimming. It is equipped with Elastostart for comfortable starting.

HS 45 is available in two blade lengths: 45cm/18″ or 60cm/24″.
It consists of an anti-vibration system, an electronic ignition module, and other component parts.

Anti-vibration system
Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to long-term effects on blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL has therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system whereby the oscillations from the machine’s engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.
STIHL ElastoStart
STIHL ElastoStart reduces the shock caused by the compression of the engine during starting. The compression shock is taken away from the user’s joints and muscles through a spring or rubber element in the starter handle.
Double-sided blades
The dual ground blade system provides a clean cut. Excellent for cutting stronger, thicker branches.
Electronic ignition module
This ensures reliable starting and trouble-free running. The ignition system is fully encapsulated and thus protected from damp and dirt.
Manual fuel pump (Purger)
A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburetor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting pulls required following extended breaks in operations.
Long-life air filter system
Ensures longer cleaning intervals and better protection of the engine.
Single-sided cutting blade
The double-sided cutting blade is ground on one side. The special blade geometry ensures high cutting performance.
