Megadox N

Megadox N is a broad-spectrum antibiotic soluble powder that exhibits a potent synergistic effect in the treatment and prevention of complicated mixed bacterial infections in poultry and livestock caused by or associated with Doxycycline and Neomycin susceptible organisms.

Megadox N: Indications

Poultry;

• It is recommended for the treatment of mixed infections specifically complicated CRD, non-specific diarrhea, Blue comb, Fowl cholera, Mud fever, Colisepticemia, Pullorum disease, Infectious synovitis, and other secondary bacterial infections.

Large and small animals;

• It is indicated for the treatment of Respiratory infections, Hemorrhagic septicemia, Black quarter, Anthrax, Mastitis, Leptospirosis, Actinobacillosis, Lamb pneumonia, and other secondary bacterial infections in livestock generally.

Dosage

Poultry;

• Prophylactic use; 1g to medicate 10 litres of water for 4-5 days
• Therapeutic use; 1g tp medicate 5 litres of water for 4-5 days

Large and small animals;

• 10-20mg per kg of body weight orally for 5-7 days.

Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD), also known as the bulgy eye or mycoplasmosis, is an upper respiratory infection caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum. The disease occurs very commonly in backyard chicken flocks worldwide.

• Young birds less than 4 months of age and roosters tend to have more severe infections than older or adult birds.
• The characteristic signs include tracheal rales or gurgling sounds, nasal discharge, sneezing, gapping, and coughing. Conjunctivitis and eye discharge may be present in one or both eyes.
• There can (less commonly) be facial swelling and head shaking.
