Heteroclarias is a hybrid cross between male Heterobranchus longifilis and Female Clarias garipenus. They are very rugged and disease resistant, and they consume less feed when compared to clarias species.
They attain bigger sizes than Clarias spp, and they weigh much higher at harvest.
They thrive well on a wide range of plant protein based fish feeds, and the survival is longer after harvest. This makes them preferable to buyers. It also tastes better than catfish because it has white flesh.
Heterobranchus Longifilis breeders are also available on request. You may order for the matured (3kg to 5kg) broodstock or premature ones.

NO MORTALITY WAS RECORDED AFTER 3 WEEKSPosted on September 20, 2017 by Kayode Ogunwoye
I appreciate knowing you as a supplier of Juvenile Hybrid type. I commend your integrity on the following: proper packaging and haulage, keeping to promised delivery date, viable and healthy fish with unique growth, normal size of the fish that commensurate with the cost per one, no mortality was recorded after 3 weeks. However, the following should be taken into consideration: the minimum order of 1000 should be reduced because of young farmers who are not able to afford the minimum order, and size uniformity of the fish.
