The event began with a presentation by Professor. J.O Olopade, Former Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, The University of Ibadan, who spoke on Application for Scholarships and Grants. Sharing his experience on scholarships, Prof. Olopade stated the need for students to have positive willpower in the midst of rejection. He also encouraged students to keep building impressive profiles by learning and gaining experience, while expecting a response for scholarships or grant requests.

The CEO of Afrimash Company Limited, Dr. Ayoade Oyedotun, spoke with the finalists on Modern Day Entrepreneurship Opportunities For Veterinarians where he encouraged the finalist who had a drive for entrepreneurship. Encouraging the finalist not to give up on the first attempt at building a business because the first setup does not bring stability. Dr. Ayo also promised to support VNO annually for their finalist forum and magazine when needed.

Dr. Charles Nwishienyi, Head: Admin and Human Resource at Afrimash spoke on How to Write CVs and Application Letters giving the finalist tips and important details their documents need to contain. He also stated the importance of a personal LinkedIn account and how it fosters a professional relationship that would be needed in building one’s career.

The forum was rounded up after Miss Eshett Goodness, Lead Communications at Afrimash spoke on Afrimash Affiliate Program, an opportunity for students to earn commissions while taking advantage of the market.

It was indeed an insightful event as the CEO Afrimash Company Limited encouraged the organizers, led by Ige Abdullah Oluwatobiloba
Editor-in-Chief, Vet News Organization (VNO), to keep up with the event annually as it can help build undergraduates for a better future and career life.
